Key Responsibilities:
Watering and Fertilizing: Provide plants with appropriate moisture levels, checking soil moisture and adjusting watering frequency based on plant species and environmental conditions. Fertilize as necessary to ensure plant health.
Cleaning and Pruning: Dust or wipe leaves clean to improve light absorption and plant health. Prune, trim, and deadhead plants to maintain their shape, health, and appearance.
Pest and Disease Management:Monitor plants for signs of pests or diseases and implement appropriate treatments to maintain plant health.
Light Management: Ensure plants are positioned to receive adequate (but not excessive) light, rotating plants regularly to promote even growth.
Maintain Aesthetics: Clean debris from planters and ensure top dressing and other ornamental elements are neat and orderly.
Installation and Arrangement:May be involved in installing new plant displays, placing plants according to design specifications.
Client Communication:Communicate with clients regarding plant care, address concerns, and ensure their satisfaction with the service.
Skills and Qualifications:
Plant Knowledge: Understanding of various indoor shade-loving plant species and their specific care requirements.
Horticultural Techniques:Knowledge of watering, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control methods appropriate for indoor plants.
Observation Skills: Ability to quickly identify signs of plant stress, disease, or pest infestations.
Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose plant problems and implement solutions.
Communication Skills:Effectively communicate with clients and team members.
Attention to Detail: Maintain plants with care and keep work areas clean.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move plants and equipment.
Safe Work Practices: Awareness and adherence to safety guidelines when using tools and handling plants or chemicals.
Work Environment:
This role typically involves working indoors at various client locations such as offices, residences, or commercial spaces.
May require lifting and carrying plants and equipment.
Some roles may involve driving to different client sites.
Must speak English
