Job summary:

A detail-oriented and experienced Painting Estimator is needed to join the team. The ideal candidate prepares accurate and competitive cost estimates for residential and/or commercial painting projects. This role requires a strong understanding of painting techniques, materials, and construction processes, as well as excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

-Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project requirements to determine the scope of work and potential costs.

-Conduct site visits and inspections as needed to gather information and assess project conditions.

-Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for painting projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.

-Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to clarify requirements and ensure accuracy of estimates.

-Negotiate bids with subcontractors and vendors to ensure competitive pricing.

-Prepare and submit bid proposals in a timely and professional manner.

-Maintain an up-to-date database of materials, labor costs, and project information.

-Present estimates to management and clients, clearly communicating the scope of work and rationale for costs.

-Provide technical information and support to project teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle.

-Organize and maintain bid information for future reference and analysis.

Requirements:

-Proven experience as a painting estimator, ideally in residential and/or commercial settings.

-Strong understanding of painting techniques, materials, and safety guidelines.

-Proficiency in estimating software, such as PlanSwift, PaintScout, or similar platforms.

-Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.

-Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

-Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

-Experience with blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.

Preferred qualifications:

-Previous experience in construction management, estimating, or a related field.

-Project Management experience.

-Experience with business development and client relations.

Passing a background investigation is a prerequisite for this role.
