Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Foreman to oversee and participate in irrigation system installations, maintenance, and repairs. This is a hands-on working position, meaning the ideal candidate will not only supervise a team but also actively perform installation and service tasks. Additionally, this role requires the ability to estimate and sell irrigation jobs to prospective clients.
Responsibilities:
Lead and work alongside a team to install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems.
Conduct site assessments to determine irrigation needs and provide accurate job estimates.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing recommendations and selling irrigation services.
Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company standards.
Troubleshoot and diagnose irrigation system issues and implement effective solutions.
Operate and maintain irrigation tools and equipment.
Train and mentor crew members on proper installation and repair techniques.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company and industry safety standards.
Requirements:
Prior experience in irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
Ability to estimate and sell irrigation jobs to clients.
Knowledge of different irrigation systems, components, and water management practices.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
