Commercial HVAC Installer/Duct Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC Installer/Duct Mechanic to join our team. This position involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and a dedication to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air handlers, indoor/outdoor coils, UV lights, air cleaners, and humidifiers according to company policies and manufacturer specifications.

Design, fabricate, and install ductwork and duct fittings.

Perform wiring of low and line voltage to cooling and heating equipment.

Install copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including brazing and soldering.

Connect gas lines to heating equipment.

Pre-measure jobs to determine the right materials required.

Receive, verify, and load materials and equipment needed for each job.

Provide training and guidance to HVAC installer helpers.

Ensure all necessary paperwork is accurately completed.

Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle.

Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Conduct start-up of air conditioning systems.

Deliver consistent and excellent customer service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent; technical degree preferred.

AT LEAST 5 years of HVAC installation experience; commercial experience preferred.

EPA certification required; NATE certification is a plus.

Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Ability to lift and carry items up to 100 lbs.

Comfortable working in high temperatures and varying weather conditions.

Willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required.

Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

Skills:

Knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and equipment.

Understanding of HVAC parts and their functions.

Familiarity with job site safety protocols.

Ability to work independently and within a team.

Strong customer service orientation.
