Responsibilities

Hours: Monday - Friday | 8 hour shifts

-Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures

-Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems

-Troubleshoot motor and control systems

-Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems

-Review blueprints and building code specifications to determine work details and procedures

-Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools

-Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment

Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code as well as all safety codes

Job Posting Qualifications

Be at least 21+ years of age

Current/Active Jessica Lunsford Act Certification or a willingness to obtain it

Seven (7) years of recent employed professionally paid electrical work experience

Must have the ability to use all power and hand tools associated with the trade and perform all tasks with little or no supervision or assistance

Must have thorough knowledge of electricity and associated circuits and be able to determine the proper material for each job

Knowledge of standard electrical code requirements

Ability to work effectively from ladders and scaffolding with due regard to safety for self and others

Must be able to follow written and oral instructions

Able to work well with others

Must provide own hand tools

Must have the ability to assume responsibility and effect repairs/complete tasks without assistance

Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods throughout the day

Ability to lift to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

Prior experience in the commercial field required

Prior experience using hand tools, power tools, conduit benders

The hourly rate for this position is $28- $30/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
