Network and Security Engineer

Job Duties:

1. Design, build and improve data center and global enterprise networks based on business and application requirements.

2. Design, deliver, document and communicate Network architecture for Cloud or on-premise environments with a focus on standard design patterns, growth, performance and scalability.

3. Partner with neighboring teams in designing, testing, deploying and operating highly scalable network infrastructure in collocated, on premises, managed service provider and cloud data centers

4. Routing design for ring elimination & provide highly redundant routing solution

5. Conduct research with stakeholders to define, design, and develop strategies for organizations

6. Function as technical, engineering and operational subject matter expert for complex networking systems including Cisco, F5 LTM, & GTM, VPN, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, QOS and Carrier

7. WAN/Metro/Internet circuits, e-BGP, I-BGP, switching, routing, AWS, NSX.

8. VMware implementation of VXLAN, transport zone, logical switch, in NSX.

9. Deploy VPC in AWS cloud with automated deployment, provisioning, and configuration management tools like Terra Form

10. Develop conceptual, logical, or physical network designs

11. Monitor and analyze network performance and reports to detect problems, and perform capacity planning

12. Conduct throughput analysis, problem solving, and infrastructure planning.

13. Participate in various client projects intended to continually improve/upgrade network infrastructures.

14. Propose upgrades to existing network architectures and configurations, develop engineering plans and work breakdown structures.

15. Enhance existing enterprise systems by identifying improvements needed that can bring additional value to the business or improve the level of service.

16. Conceptualization of the project, patterns, modeling, design, communications.

17. Storage Management including management of Storage Area Network (SAN) directors and switches for both Fiber Channel (FC) and Fiber Channel Over Ethernet (FCOE).

18. Define best practices for supporting recommended solutions.

19. Partner across various IT and business teams to provide insight and technology recommendations that result in enterprise solutions that solve critical business problems.

20. Advanced WAN/LAN network troubleshooting including packet and performance analysis.

21. Contribute in developing and evolving operational procedures.

22. Examine & document existing processes, evaluate them within the context of availability and maintainability of Network Services.

23. Contribute into the development of the Network Operations Strategy and into supporting organizational strategies.

24. Deliver exceptional customer service with excellent presentation and communication skills regarding technical and non-technical concepts.

Requirements:

Travel Requirements:

The only travel required is when relocating to within commuting distance of unanticipated client locations anywhere in the U.S. for long-term assignments. Relocation: Must be willing/able to relocate to unanticipated client locations anywhere in the U.S. for long-term assignments.

Education:

Associate of Science degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Computer Information System, Computer Science or closely related field.

Experience/Skill/Knowledge Requirements:

Two (2) years’ experience in the job offered or a closely related occupation.

1. Responsible for DC LAN plan, build, integrate, implement & transform

2. Interconnecting Data Center through L2 DWDM circuits & encrypt/decrypt using MACsec

3. Extend L2 VLANs between Data Centers over IP using OTV

Certifications:

Certification in Cisco Certified Specialist - Security Core, and F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator.

Number of hours per week: 40 Hours

Daily Work Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9:00 A.M. to 6.00 P.M.
