Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Shift Supervisor to oversee our vehicle patrol team at the Port of Everglades. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security, supervision, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the port's assets and personnel.
Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of vehicle patrol officers, ensuring adherence to established procedures and guidelines.
Conduct regular patrols of the port's premises to identify and address potential security risks.
Respond to incidents and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
Prepare and submit detailed reports on patrols, incidents, and activities.
Maintain a high level of security awareness and vigilance.
Coordinate with other security personnel and law enforcement agencies as needed.
Enforce port rules and regulations.
Manage employee schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Identify training needs and implement training programs to enhance team skills.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a security or related field.
Valid TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
Valid Florida Driver's License.
Open availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
