Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Chef & Kitchen Manager to join our team at a fast food and casual dining restaurant located within a service station (Chevron) on major road (Rt 98) in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of culinary operations and kitchen management, ensuring high-quality food preparation, efficient service, and adherence to health and safety standards. This role is pivotal in revamping our menu offerings, increasing sales through innovative menu items and combos, and enhancing our cafe business.

Responsibilities:

- Plan and execute daily menus and specials for in-store customers and deliveries (UberEats, GrubHub, and other online platforms), considering customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.

- Prepare and cook dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes.

- Manage inventory levels and orders to minimize waste and optimize food costs.

- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards. - Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, including equipment maintenance and sanitation procedures.

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

- Implement strategies to increase sales through innovative menu offerings and combos. - Proactively approach customers to promote food, snacks, and café items.

- Collaborate with restaurant management on budgeting, staffing, and operational improvements.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in Latino cuisine or a restaurant that prepares hot meals.

- Proficiency in preparing Burgers, Hot sandwiches, Burrito bowls, and other hot and cold food items.

- Strong understanding of menu development and recipe creation.

- Excellent management skills to oversee the operations of the entire cafe.

- Knowledge of health and sanitation laws and regulations.

- Ability to execute innovative ideas for business growth and menu enhancement.

- Bilingual in Spanish and English highly preferred.
