A leading General Contractor based in Tamarac, FL, is looking for a highly organized and dependable Permit Coordinator / Permit Runner to support our expanding operations. This is a full-time, in-person role that requires travel across Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and support with permitting process to our offices in Orlando and Tampa.
Responsibilities:
Submit and manage permit applications with various city and county offices.
Review documents for accuracy and ensure compliance with all submission requirements.
Track permit status, follow up proactively, and escalate issues when needed.
Communicate with city officials and internal Project Managers to expedite approvals and to keep timelines on track.
Travel to permit offices (cities and/or counties) to hand-deliver paperwork or pick up permits.
Maintain accurate records of permit progress, timelines, and fees.
Requirements:
Reliable transportation is a must.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Clear communication and professional demeanor when interacting with city staff.
Able to manage multiple deadlines and stay on top of permit schedules.
Must be punctual, dependable, and self-motivated.
Notary certification is preferred.
Previous experience with permitting or construction is a plus, a minimum of 2 years
