Zager Global, Inc. is a 35 year, well established, Commercial Construction Company who is seeking an accounting student to fill an immediate accounting Assistant position.

This Position is ideal for a student who has a strong desire to learn hands on accounting while still in school seeking their accounting degree.

Requirements: Student who is in or completed their 2nd year in accounting, looking for an excellent opportunity, while seeking their bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting.

The position offers flexible hours to work around your school schedule.

Starting Hourly Wage - $16.00 to $18.00 based on your education level. Reviewed after 90 days. The more you learn, the more you earn.

Candidate will be required to obtain a Florida Notary within your first 14 days of employment. We will allow you to test/ take the online course on company time, but since this notary is your asset/ possession, you will be required to pay for the notary itself.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled & in or have completed your 2nd year in Accounting with primary goal of Bachelors and/or Masters in Accounting

Highly Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite such as word, excel and outlook exchange is a MUST.

Ability to look ahead and multi-task

Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Excellent communication and time management skills

Detail-oriented and organized

Willingness to learn and tackle new tasks

Skills and Duties:

Working closely with President, CFO, Staff Accountant, Purchasing & Estimating.

Running small errands when asked.

Ordering supplies.

Perform various administrative functions, answering phones, create new files, filing documents and continue with the office organization already implemented.

Following up and following through with tasks, emails, phone calls, etc.

Receive, verify, and input A/P invoices insuring job costing is accurate.

Maintain A/P and A/R filing systems.

Reconcile A/P checks to invoices.

Assist in processing vendor checks.

Assist in compiling the job costs for accurate progress billings.

Assist in progress billings, work orders & invoicing.

Assist in monthly reconciliation of job costing back to the general ledger.

Assist in weekly payrolls along with Quarterly 940’s & 941’s.

Assist in monthly bank reconciliations.

Assist with daily, weekly, monthly journal entries.

When we use the word "Assist" it is in the context that you will become proficient in these areas and will eventually take this over at 100%.

This position offers hands on experience and is ideal for any student who wants to advance their career in public accounting.

This position is a fantastic resume builder. We have offered this internship for approximately 20 years. Each student has gone out with more experience and qualifications than just a degree for their first job in public accounting. We still keep in contact with all previous students and they are all thriving in their public accounting careers.

You will be interviewed, hired & trained by the outgoing student who has been with us for 4 years and has excelled to "Staff Accountant." You will be doing the same when it's your time to move on.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week.
