We are located in Miami, Florida, and are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Petitioner for the legalization of recreational cannabis. The successful candidate will play an essential role in driving our mission forward by helping to gather support and collect signatures to make the legalization of cannabis a reality.
Job Description:
As a Petitioner for the legalization of recreational cannabis, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to gather the necessary signatures and support for petition drives. You will work closely with the community, educating the public on the benefits of legalization and encouraging participation in signing petitions. This role requires a proactive, outgoing individual with strong communication skills who is enthusiastic about social change and cannabis reform.
Responsibilities:
- Collect signatures from eligible voters for the legalization of recreational cannabis.
- Engage with members of the community, providing information about the benefits and legalization process of recreational cannabis.
- Distribute educational materials to the public to raise awareness and understanding of cannabis legalization.
- Coordinate with local groups, organizations, and other stakeholders to support petition efforts.
- Maintain accurate records of collected signatures and ensure all documentation is properly submitted.
- Adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements related to petitioning activities.
- Track and report progress regularly to management and assist in meeting signature collection goals.
- Help organize and participate in events, rallies, and other community outreach initiatives.
- Promote the overall vision and mission of cannabis legalization and ensure the petition process remains effective and compliant.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of people.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage petitioning goals and deadlines.
- Knowledge of the political landscape surrounding cannabis legalization is a plus.
- Proficiency with digital tools for tracking signatures and reporting progress.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
