In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth operations related to court hearings and client support.
Position Overview:
The Hearing Coordinator/Legal Assistant will assist with scheduling/cancelling coverage counsel for appearances, provide hearing results to the attorneys, notifying clients of upcoming court appearances. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks, and an understanding of legal procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule/cancel coverage counsel to attend hearings or other Court events. Ensure that clients are informed about the appearance.
Communicate with attorneys to gather information/documents necessary for the Court appearance.
Communicate with Clerk of Court, if needed.
Monitor and track hearing results and provide same to the attorneys.
Provide general administrative support to the legal team.
Qualifications:
Experience in a legal assistant or legal support role, with exposure to hearing coordination or litigation support.
Knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
