Overview:
We are looking to hire a hard-working Groundskeeper to perform various cleaning duties as required by our clients. The Groundskeeper's responsibilities include cleaning the outdoor property, cutting the grass as well as handling and transporting materials and following instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks. You should also inform management of any accidents that result in broken or damaged appliances or fixtures.
To be successful as a Groundskeeper, you should be physically fit and able to work with minimal supervision. Ultimately, an outstanding Groundskeeper should be able to follow instructions and commit to safety.
Job Responsibilities:
Clean up the outdoor property, including trash, debris and other waste to keep the site clean and safe
Cut the grass and maintain the work area clean, safe and organized
General maintenance that includes electrical and mechanical maintenances
Handle and transport materials (e.g. cement) and equipment (e.g. drills and grinders)
Execute daily work instructions received from management in a timely manner
Operate manual material handling equipment such as hand jacks and wheeled carts safely
Lift and carry merchandises as needed
Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities
Clean the pool and replace chemicals as needed
Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
Use power tools and machinery (e.g. forklifts) when needed
Job Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to perform a variety of physical tasks
Previous experience working as a Groundskeeper
Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
Communication and teamwork skills
Understanding of and willingness to abide by all safety protocols
High school education or equivalent
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour
