Doors, Storefronts, Curtain Wall systems, and interior Glass partitions systems and

glass hand railing.

Windoor, C.R. Laurence, Solar Innovations, Trulite, YKK AP America, Aldora,

NanaWall Door Systems, Euro-Wall and a few more.

Glazier Job Description:

The primary responsibility of the Glazier is to ensure the proper installation of windows

and skylights in homes and commercial buildings. Some common job duties for the

position include:

- Studying building plans to become familiar with the specifications of each project

- Using tools to cut and shape glass to fit frames precisely

- Checking that glass is properly aligned and straight during the installation

process

- Assembling and installing metal and wood components used to hold glass

- Fastening glass in place with clips, moldings and other components

- Sealing windows with putty or weather seal

- Inspecting completed work to ensure it is free of defects

- Complying with federal, state and local health and safety regulations and building

codes

Glazier Job Requirements:

Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working

as an apprentice or trainee under the direct supervision of an experienced Glazier.

- Familiarity with blueprints and proper measuring techniques.

- Ability to lift and carefully handle heavy panes of glass.

- Arithmetic skills to determine sizing for fasteners and glass.

- Thorough understanding of common glazing techniques, such as dry glazing, wet

glazing, cable netting and snap-in systems.

- Knowledge of how to properly use tools such as grinders, glass cutters, caulk

guns, miter saws and utility knives.

- Attentiveness to detail to ensure proper alignment of glass and to spot any

defects in installation.

- Ability to remain upright throughout a shift and to move through difficult-to-access

spaces as needed.

- Knowledge of building codes, health and safety standards and required personal

protection equipment for use on the job.

- English and Spanish are required languages ​​for this position.
