We are currently seeking a passion-driven full-time maintenance person for our 75 unit rental community. Minimum five (5) years. Organized, be professional, courteous with residents, prospects, and coworkers. Must be solve-problems, capability with the ability to handle competing deadlines. Must have reliable transportation to work at multiple sites.

What you will be doing as a Floating Technician: Maintenance Technician will travel to various locations within the company to perform general maintenance, repairs, make ready units for assigned equipment and facilities including, plumbing, heating and cooling, and other building systems. Reports to the on-site Property Manager.

The Floating maintenance person will support multiple properties in Broward County.

Home property will be base in Miramar.

Must have reliable transportation to work at multiple sites.

Responding to on-call emergencies will be required to tend to the emergency at the property if called upon in a timely manner. keeps records and informs the Service Supervisor of all routine and emergency maintenance required on the property.

Repairs HVAC, plumbing, and household appliances.

Strong multi-tasking capability with the ability to handle competing deadlines.

Responsible for the preparation of vacant units for occupancy.

Assists in moving appliances in and out of apartments and empties discarded personal belongings and trash left in vacated apartment units.

Electrical, plumbing, appliance repairs appliance repairs (Stove, Refrigerator, Garbage disposal, Microwave, washer, and dryer water heater) Ensures repairs are made in keeping with quality and safety standards.

Paints any range of interior and exterior surfaces and fixtures at assigned properties, including apartments, amenity areas, speed bumps, signs, posts, gates, street markings, and handrails.

Maintains property grounds and notifies supervisor of safety hazards, property damage or unsightly conditions on grounds.

Notifies Property Manager of the need to replenish materials and supplies when low.

Stores and maintains supplies and materials in keeping with procedures and standards.

Tracks and maintains status of service requests in the computer system and closes records for completed orders.

Available for on-call duty, nights, and weekends.

Knowledge and Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Apartment Maintenance experience preferred.

Experience with Electrical, plumbing, drywall, get units ready

Appliance repairs: stoves, refrigerators, microwaves, garbage disposal, etc.

Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.

Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Must HVAC License

Bilingual Plus!

Must have a valid FL. Driver’s License.

Ability to follow instructions from the Property Manager.

Required to work at various locations/properties within the company (sometimes)

Employee reports directly to the Property Manager of the community.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.

Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds at a time.
