Duties:
- Patience and respect for the client and family.
- Provide direct care and support, companionship.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Ensure the safety and well-being at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed
- Provide transportation for clients to appointments or community outings
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with elderly individuals preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols
- Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary living environment
- First aid and CPR certification is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
- Alzheimer's training preferred
- Ability to consistently provide physical assistance to a client if needed (i.e. stand-by assistance while walking, assist client with transfers, wheelchair assistance)
- Satisfactory Background screening, DMV screening, and Drug Screening
