Thasos Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar server must possess a commitment to excellence, a positive attitude, and an ability to work cleanly and efficiently. Reliability, punctuality, organization, and great communication skills are imperative for the correct candidate.
Qualities required:
· At least 4 year’s experience as a fine dining server with classic wine and craft cocktail service knowledge
· Excellent food and beverage knowledge with a strong foundation in wines & food cuisines
· Strong understanding of POS systems.
· Provide a friendly and caring experience for every guest that comes into the restaurant.,
· Anticipate guest needs and maintain positive guest relations at all times, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
· Take food and beverage orders from guests
· Make menu and drink recommendations to guests
· Ensure that all orders are accurate and brought to each table in a timely manner
· Complete opening side and closing side duties thoroughly and efficiently as assigned
Responsibilities:
· Actively participate in the cycle of service by leading guests through their experience.
· Be the authority on all beverages, food, and steps of service in the restaurant.
· Fill the gaps as they appear/be a team player. This could mean polishing glassware, running food, bussing tables, or anything else
that would help a teammate during service.
· Ensure excellence in the standards and practices of Thasos
· Get to know the regulars– having an awareness of these names/faces is of benefit to best representation of you and Thasos
· Alert management of repair and maintenance issues pertaining to the restaurant
