Job Title: Delivery Driver & Prep Support
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver & Prep Support. This dual role will require the ability to deliver exceptional service to clients, ensure timely and efficient meal deliveries, and assist in meal prep to support our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Meal Delivery:
Ensure that each delivery meets the highest standards of presentation and quality.
Verify that all items are fully present and correctly packaged to maintain the required temperature and presentation standards.
Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, ensuring all clients have a positive experience.
Conduct pre-delivery checks to ensure all items are accurately accounted for.
Prep Support:
Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, ensuring all meals are prepared according to company standards.
Aid in packaging meals with attention to portion control, labeling, and dietary specifications.
Perform necessary food prep tasks, such as chopping vegetables, cooking proteins, and garnishing meals.
Maintain clean and organized workstations in line with food safety protocols.
Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and inventory management.
Logistics & Route Management:
Manage delivery routes efficiently, ensuring on-time deliveries.
Adjust routes as needed based on traffic or other logistical factors.
Communicate with the supervisor about any potential delivery delays or issues.
Vehicle Maintenance:
Maintain a clean driving record and ensure all company vehicles are in good working condition.
Monitor vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
Key Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently.
Previous experience in delivery, preferably in the food or catering industry.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
Knowledge of food safety standards is a plus (ServeSafe certification preferred).
Ability to assist with food prep and kitchen tasks as needed.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
Ability to bend, lift, and perform repetitive motions as needed.
Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot kitchen environments.
