The Host/Hostess is the first and last impression of Sakana Nikkei. You are responsible for warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and ensuring smooth seating and guest flow in the dining room.
Responsibilities:
Greet all guests warmly and sincerely as they arrive.
Manage the reservation book and walk-in guests through Resy.
Quote accurate wait times and monitor table turnover.
Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and front entrance.
Communicate effectively with the service team to optimize seating and guest flow.
Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and requests with professionalism.
Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
Dishwasher – Job Description
Position Summary:
The Dishwasher plays a key role in maintaining cleanliness and supporting back-of-house operations. You are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, kitchen tools, and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
Operate the dishwasher machine and ensure all kitchenware is properly cleaned and sanitized.
Wash and clean pots, pans, and other items by hand as needed.
Keep the dish area organized, clean, and free of clutter.
Remove trash, recycling, and food waste throughout shifts.
Assist with cleaning kitchen floors, mats, drains, and equipment at closing.
Support chefs and cooks with restocking clean dishes and equipment.
Follow health and safety standards at all times.
