Incomplete applications will not be considered. DUTIESThis position will provide direct nursing care in an Immunization Clinic at the Florida Department of Health in Broward County. Position reports directly to the Senior Community Health Nursing Supervisor. Independently assesses vaccine schedule and administers age-appropriate CDC recommended vaccines to infants, children and adults in the clinic and outreach events when assigned. Provide client education and dissemination of information promoting immunizations. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS1. Are you willing to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours, or days in the event of an emergency? Additionally, emergency duties are inclusive of working in Special Needs Shelters, or performing other emergency duties, but not limited to responses to or threats involving any disaster, man-made or natural.
2. Current Registered Nurse (RN) in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes or eligible to practice nursing in accordance with Florida Administrative Code 210-8.22 or 8.27.
3. Six (6) months of nursing practice as a RN working in a Public Health clinic, Skilled Nursing Facility or hospital care delivery system, or physician’s office.
4.Six (6) months or more working as a RN administering injectable medications.
5. Willing to work one (1) late evening.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Work experience as a RN administering immunizations to infants, children, or adults.
Work experience as a RN working in Pediatric Medical Office.
Work experience as a RN using Electronic Health Records.
