We are a Florida Keys tour company based in Fort Lauderdale. We pick up passengers in our tour vehicles starting from Broward County and drive to the Keys for a day. The tours are educational, packed with adventures, and fun for the whole family. We are seeking 1-2 qualified individuals for part-time employment. We need someone that has more experience than just being a commercial driver. This is a tour guide position. You are required to interpret a great deal of information on the areas being toured.
Our Tours:
Key West Day Tours (15-hour tour)
Islamorada Day Tours (10-hour tour)
The position requires you to work long days between 1-3 days per week. The tourism industry in South Florida is seasonal, therefore less tours during the summer time.
Key West tour guide Thursdays: The guide does not drive the vehicle. Your job is to narrate the trip on the way to Key West. Once there, you and the passengers receive 6 hours of free time.
Islamorada tour guide 1-2 weekdays: The guide drives a 15-passenger tour van and narrates the tour. Passengers are picked up in Broward County. The tour includes four stops in Islamorada. An oceanside mangrove park nature walk, lunch at an oceanside restaurant, free time at a world-class marina, and a bayside backcountry boat cruise. Your workday ends when you drop off all the passengers and return the van which is usually around 7pm.
Important Qualifications:
-Florida naturalists, biologists, historians, educators, or that of equal knowledge is required
-Must be knowledgeable about Florida, the Keys, Everglades (ecosystems, culture, and history)
-Must be able to identify species of flora and fauna seen on tours
-Must have a charismatic personality and be comfortable speaking in front of groups of people
-Must be 25 years or older
-Must have a flexible schedule and be able to accept the tours given to them
-Must have a clean driving record and have a Florida driver's license
-Must be a SAFE DRIVER and be able to operate a large passenger van

Compensation is per tour and is non negotiable:
$250 Islamorada Tour
$300 Key West Tours
Plus gratuities: Tips range from $50 - $300 per trip
