A wonderful and down to earth family in Palm Beach County is seeking a thoughtful and energetic live in nanny to care for their 3 school age children. The daily schedule will be 6:00am to 8:00pm Monday-Friday, with night assistance as children need, including when the parents are traveling.
The position is be live-in with private bedroom and bath in the house for the nanny to use during on-duty and shared on weekends.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing fun and educational age-appropriate activities for their child and encouraging developmental play, homework help, helping with milestones, and overall care of the children. Creating and maintaining an active and educational schedule, without devices. Both parents work full-time but are active and involved in the care of their children, so the nanny must strike a balance between being confident and knowledgeable while letting the parents make the final call on big decisions. The children are in school from 7am-2pm, during that time is managememt of the house duties, including cleaning, organizing, laundry and meal prep and nanny down time. Deep cleaning housekeeping is handled by a separate housekeeper, nanny will be responsible for general daily housekeeping and tidying of the home, maintaining a clean and organized household, keeping her spaces and belongings clean and organized, as well as meal planning and preparation for the children, and occasionally the family, in coordination with mom. This is an easygoing household with loving working parents who are looking for a candidate who can create a safe and nurturing environment for their children, while being able to uphold the rules and boundaries established by the parents amd disciplining children within the parents instructed limits.
The ideal candidate is passionate about the work and is able to maintain professionalism while also being a warm and encouraging part of their children and family's life. They are big on reading, music, exploring and play. They want their children to experience adventures (outdoor play, making art, visiting a museum, going to the playground with other kids) rather than just sitting inside with devices or running errands with a nanny. Someone energetic, honest, thoughtful, timely, attentive to detail and education-minded will do best in the role. Ability to help with homework daily and experience with school age is a must. Candidates must be CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to certify, and have a valid driver’s license, passport and confident swimming skills. The family does regular traveling, both internationally and domestically, but it is usually short-term, in which the nanny will accompany family. They have two smaller dogs in the home that require daily walks.
English and Spanish speaking preferred. Long term 1 year minimum availability.
The family is offering a competitive rate of $40,000 plus full time living accommodations, commesnurate with experience.
