We are currently looking for a part-time Pet Care Specialist (pet sitter/dog walker) to join our Coconut Grove/Coral Gables/South Miami area team. This is an opportunity to enjoy an independent work environment, bask in fresh air, exercise while walking, and spend your time improving the lives of dogs and cats (and other cute pets) while earning supplemental income.
This position is part-time. To maintain a consistent schedule, you must be available for a minimum of three days during the week, Monday through Sunday. These are some of the time frames that we offer our clients:
7-9 AM (pet sitting)
9-6 PM (dog walking)
5-10 PM (pet sitting and some dog walking)
Bonus: overnight stays!
We work when pet parents play, so expect to work holidays (and receive holiday pay and keep all tips!).
We look for a minimum of a twelve-month commitment. Pet care experience is strongly preferred. We are looking specifically for individuals who reside in the Coral Gables/Coconut Grove area in order to care for pets in the Gables, Grove, and South Miami.

Qualifications of Our Ideal Pet Care Specialist at Equipaws Pet Services:
MUST be available at least three days a week for shifts between 7 am and 10 pm, with the possibility of overnight stays if you're interested (depending on the position hired for).
Excellent pet handling skills and intuition
Comfortable working with dogs of varying sizes and breeds
Prior experience with dogs and/or cats is preferred, including your own pets, volunteering at shelters, pet sitting, grooming, training, or being a vet tech.
Dependability and trustworthiness, strong time management skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills, able to remain professional and courteous with clients at all times
Comfortable and adept at getting around the city safely
Able to work through all seasons and weather that Miami has to offer! Pets need to be taken care of in all types of weather, including rainy and hot summer days
Ability to pass a criminal background check and be authorized to work in the USA
Dedication to keeping oneself and our clients safe and healthy
You must live within our service areas listed above
Be available for holidays (we work when our clients play). Holiday work is required, and that means days before and after major holidays.
Must be 19 years old or over
