RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce is working with a client in Everett, FL that is in need of Information Science Specialists to define information architecture requirements for integration with digital information systems.
Responsibilities: Information Science Specialist will develop company taxonomies and vocabularies for organizing and managing information Lead and support fulfillment of daily information architecture tasks and provide direction to subordinates on basic activities in completion of those tasks Information Science Specialist will ensure governance of semantic data as a strategic asset as well as promote classification services across the enterprise for tagging of unstructured dataREQUIREMENTS: 4+ years of experience in vocabulary management, taxonomy, information architecture, data science, data modeling, computational linguistics or applied computer engineering Substantive experience in information architecture modeling principles, practices, industry applications and systems Experience in working with SKOS, OWL, SPARQL and RDF Candidate must display excellent oral & written communication skills as well as organization and time management skills Candidate must have experience in the ability to facilitate interaction, collaboration and integration with other technical skills teams (i.e. developers) that support information modelling solutions High degree of accountability, integrity, leadership, discipline, energy, attention to detail displaying solutions-oriented thinking, communication, collaboration and problem solving skillshighly entrepreneurial self-starter with advanced project management experience and display of skills that is able to facilitate cross functional teams in a dynamic environment where well-defined processes are sometimes lacking Candidate must have an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (ex. Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint). Ability to provide customer service including the need to resolve -complex- or -multi-faceted problems- that may require research and/or interdepartmental collaboration.
