The Market & Competitive Insights Manager is responsible for overseeing the integration of market trends, competitive intelligence, and macro influences into revenue management strategies. The position also involves providing reliable, real-time market and competitive data to influence high-level decision-making while equipping individual markets with actionable insights. This leader will connect macro-level trends back to the business, integrating them into forecast models by leveraging new data sources. Additionally, they will consistently benchmark against key competitors, deliver insights into market opportunities and threats, and act as an orchestrator of strategic initiatives, ensuring clarity and alignment across all organizational levels. Through continuous monitoring and swift adaptation to market shifts, the Market and Competitive Insights Manager ensures the business remains competitive and responsive to dynamic market conditions, helping achieve organizational goals.What You’ll Do:
Monitor and track industry activities, benchmarking consistently against key competitors such as product offerings, market positioning, promotional activity, distribution strategies, etc.
Deliver actionable insights by identifying market opportunities, competitor threats, and customer needs, while pivoting quickly in response to shifting market dynamics and emerging trends to ensure timely, data-driven decisions.
Develop decks and presentations delivering concise messaging that aligns with business objectives and trends, ensuring clarity and actionable insights for senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Connect macro-level trends to the business by incorporating them into forecast models, utilizing new data to predict how demand patterns will evolve.
Partner with market leaders to tailor strategies to regional opportunities and challenges, ensuring a coordinated approach to pricing and revenue management.
Support Revenue Management verticals by tackling ad-hoc requests and providing new insights to drive better actions and outcomes.
Collaborate across departments, including Revenue Management, Operations, Sales, Fleet, and Marketing, to ensure the integration of competitive intelligence and market data into decision-making, while also driving alignment on strategy, sharing insights, and fostering cross-functional support to enhance overall business performance.
Managing a team of Revenue Management analysts; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; performance management; coaching and counseling; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing standard work and revenue management processes.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent required; preferably in Entrepreneurial, Economics, Marketing, Business Intelligence, Project Management, Business Analytics, or Related Field. Advanced degrees in fields of study are strongly desired.
Minimum of 7+ years of previous experience in a revenue management and/or market research role
Experience within a complex, demand/supply planning environment utilizing large data sets
Process innovation and development; management via KPIs
Experience in managing workflows, coordinating projects, and overseeing the implementation of standard processes
Comprehensive understanding of the industry, market trends, and competitive landscape.
Proficient in gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing large datasets to relay actionable competitive insights.
Strong aptitude for evaluating complex competitive scenarios and devising strategic responses to maintain a market edge.
Highly cross functional influencer with communication/storytelling skills at all levels; Is able to stay organized and show progress on several ongoing initiatives.
Demonstrated success in mentoring and developing team members, fostering growth and collaboration for organizational success.
Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, prioritize tasks, and deliver results on time while maintaining alignment with strategic objectives.
