Description As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for performing various clerical and accounting tasks related to the maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. You will ensure accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices, reconciling statements, and verifying discrepancies with vendors. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:
Process invoices received for payment accurately and in a timely manner.
Match purchase orders, delivery receipts, and invoices to verify pricing, quantities, and terms.
Obtain proper approval and coding for invoices before processing for payment.
Enter invoice data into the accounting system and ensure proper documentation and filing.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries, discrepancies, and other accounts payable-related matters.
Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparing accruals and reconciling accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger.
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and support documentation.
Assist in the preparation of various reports, such as aging reports, cash flow projections, and analysis of accounts payable metrics.
Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and receiving, to resolve issues and improve processes related to accounts payable.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to accounts payable processes.
Requirements
1+ years of experience in accounting role
Quickbooks is a PLUS or other ERP system
Bilingual- english and spanish
Associates of Accounting is a PLUS
