Job Description:
Dedicated person to work 3 days a week to maintain and improve the landscaping, green spaces including lawns, gardens, plants, shrubs, and trees as well as maintain the structures and property to ensure the exterior is beautiful, immaculate, and safe for all to enjoy.
Job Responsibilities:
Mowing and trimming lawns, including maintaining automated mowers, and edging
Pruning, trimming, and planting flowers, plants, shrubs, hedges, and trees
Picking up leaves, removing weeds and waste, mulching beds and keeping mulched beds clean, and maintaining the exterior of the property
Watering lawns, plants, shrubs, and trees, and maintaining irrigation system
Applying fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides onto grass, plants, shrubs, or trees, using sprayers
Monitoring and maintaining the health of plants by identifying any pests or diseases and controlling these through the best practice methods available
Operating, maintaining, and repairing tools and grounds equipment
Ensuring outdoor furniture, appliances, decks, docks, driveways, paths, court, and structures are kept clean, maintained, and in good working order
Maintaining landscape lighting
Performing basic pool upkeep
Observing health and safety regulations during work operations
Job Requirements:
Proven work experience as a groundskeeper or similar role
Knowledge of horticultural techniques and the ability to identify various plants and trees
Familiarity with landscaping design
Proficiency in using manual and power garden tools
Basic knowledge of irrigation systems
Physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions
Compliance with safety rules
Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
