Caregiver - Private - Part-time

Scheduling interviews for caregivers experienced with working with a quadriplegic, part-time night shift only. $15/hour private pay. Must live within the Ormond Beach and surrounding vicinity, no exceptions. Client is an independent 40-year-old male with a spinal cord injury, paralyzed chest down. Care required; transferring with Hoyer, bowel care, assist with shower and getting dressed/undressed. Client is in a power wheelchair, has an electric Hoyer, a shower chair and roll-in shower. Meal preparation required and light housekeeping. References required. MUST LIKE DOGS! Applicant may be subject to a Background check. DO NOT WASTE OUR TIME IF YOU ARE A FELON. Must be over the age 21. No smoking in the home or while on shift. NO Illegal DRUGS or ALCOHOL allowed on premises. IF YOU ARE A DRUG ADDICT OR RECOVERING DRUG ADDICT, THIS POSITION IS NOT DESIGNED TO PROVIDE ADDICTION TREATMENT OR SUPPORT FOR YOUR RECOVERY. The client holds a medical Marijuana card and smokes in the house. IF YOU HAVE COPD DO NOT APPLY. MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT AND WITH NO BACK OR LIFTING RESTRICTIONS. Must have a valid FL driver’s license and your own reliable transportation. Only night shifts are needed by client and are typically 9pm – 9am. Applicant must be flexible to come in a little early or stay later without notice. Available shifts to be discussed at interview or give me a call to inquire.
