Full Job Description
Kenco Sign & Awning LLC is looking for a skilled Bookkeeper/Accountant to maintain financial records and assist with other business needs.
Responsibilities:
Check and verify source documents
Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Process accounts receivable/payable
Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and
reconciling invoices
Maintain accurate vendor accounts
Communicate with the suppliers any discrepancies with pricing, credits, shipping, or any other issues
Process incoming payments and make deposits
Audit and reconcile all bank and credit card accounts
Maintain complete filing system to support financial records
Actively reach for new government contract bids opportunities (online)
Assist with preparing proposals for new projects
Cost accounting
Prepare and file 1099 and 1096 forms
Identify and realize cost savings
Recruiting
Assist with daily operations of the management and other departments
Job Requirements:
3+ years of Bookkeeping type experience
Must have QuickBooks knowledge
Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
Data entry skills
Proficiency in MS Office
Strong communication skills
Self-motivated
Proactive

Team player
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Organized
Ability to work under fast paced situations when necessary
Ability to prioritize
Experience in a sign industry or similar is a plus
Reliable transportation
