Description We are in search of a skilled Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our team in the service industry, located in Dania Beach, Florida. The role involves interpreting and explaining benefit programs to participants, employers, providers, and administrators, maintaining an understanding of all benefit plans, and ensuring the accuracy of documentation. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Interpret and explain benefit programs to participants, employers, providers, and third-party administrators. Research information in internal computerized databases to answer questions related to benefit programs. Prepare correspondence related to benefit programs ensuring accuracy of documentation. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the rules and regulations for all benefit plans. Understand the benefit distribution process for all benefit plans. Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiently. Exhibit strong customer/client satisfaction focus and high attention to detail. Administer and coordinate benefits. Verify benefits and administer retirement benefits. Utilize human resources software and handle 401k - RRSP Administration. Carry out administrative duties related to benefits coordination. Manage pension plans and pension administration. Requirements Proficient in benefits coordination and administration Experience with compensation and benefits in the service industry Knowledgeable about retirement benefits and verification processes Strong administrative skills, particularly in human resources Familiarity with human resources software Experience in 401k and RRSP administration Knowledge of matching 401 and DEV-401 systems Understanding of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act Experience with pension plans, including administration and funds Knowledge of defined benefit pension plans and pension-profit sharing Ability to work in a team and independently Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Detail-oriented with good organizational skills Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred Professional certification in Compensation and Benefits would be an asset.
