Come and experience your future!The Flight Simulator Technician is responsible for repairing and monitoring a variety of simulator specific computers, motion base and visual systems and includes advance fault isolation, operational checks, and preventive maintenance actions of simulators and associated training systems. The technician must have the ability to return to service all simulator equipment using broad knowledge base. Reports and documents all maintenance actions related to maintenance actions and support activities as required using software database programs, associated forms, and maintenance logbooks.Basic Qualifications: Working knowledge of electronics and demonstrated ability to apply hardware/software diagnostic skills in systematically isolating and resolving simulator discrepancies. Develops and demonstrates broad technical capabilities in all aspects of simulator systems to include computer systems and networks, visual systems, I/O, and hydraulics/motion/flight controls. Demonstrated ability to perform routine preventive maintenance using maintenance manuals and work instructions; perform daily system readiness test, pre-operational and post-operational checkouts. Knowledgeable and experienced with the use of test equipment; to include Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Strip chart recorders, Logic analyzers, Frequency Analyzers, and DVM's. Ability to work extended hours as required. Willingness to work any shift or day of the week as required. Current/Active CompTIA Security+ Certification (e.g., DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification or higher).Desired Skills: Aircraft maintenance experience. Previous Sim Tech Experience, specifically on Level-D Simulator Previous simulator CLS support under the AFSOC ACTS Program.
