Description We are in the process of expanding our team in Coral Gables, Florida, with the addition of a Project Accountant. This role is pivotal in our construction industry operations, where you'll be handling tasks such as project accounting, setting up jobs and cost codes, and managing work in progress. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Engage in project accounting to ensure accurate financial tracking of construction projects Establish jobs and associated cost codes for precise cost tracking and management Oversee work in progress (WIP) to maintain up-to-date project status Utilize industry-specific software such as Sage 300, Procore, and Timberscan for various accounting tasks Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure smooth financial operations Undertake job cost coding to correctly allocate costs to specific jobs Carry out AIA billing to facilitate the payment process in the construction industry Apply your knowledge of construction cost and construction accounting in daily tasks. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Project Accountant role or similar position. Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Extensive experience with Sage 300 and Sage Timberline software. Familiarity with Procore and its functionalities. Experience with WIP - Work In Progress, AIA Billing, and Construction Cost. Knowledge and understanding of the construction industry, especially in relation to accounting practices. Demonstrated skills in Construction Accounting. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
