In this Controller role, you will be responsible for managing processes to ensure models are accurate and fully accrued on a monthly basis, and holding operations team accountable that end to end incentive processing, payments, accounting, and related financial controls are operating at an effective rate. The Controller position will be located in Coral Gables, Florida and is a short-term contract / temporary engagement.How you will make an impact

Review and monitor that controls are designed and operating effectively in partnership with compliance

Support SOX controls through the collation of evidence and qualitative discussion of monthly financial results across global programs

Ensure timely cash flow forecasts in collaboration with the Treasury

Reach understanding of key financial results and movements across programs to summarize and discuss with key business partners

Recognize key financial results and movements across programs, then summarize and discuss them with key business partners

Lead all processes of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for all accountable programs

Ongoing monitoring of actual spend against budget, as well as leading actions needed for any expected shortfalls

Collaborate with various business partners for a variety of program controllership and FP& A activities such as upholding accurate accrual models and appropriate accounting, as well as true-up activities. Also answer queries from business, area and subsidiary controllers Requirements - Exemplary knowledge in office and accounting computer systems

Outstanding communication and negotiation skills with experience building trusted advisor/consultant relationships and aptitude for influencing Executives and Business Decision Makers

Prior background in engaging virtually with teams around the globe and providing leadership across finance teams

Comprehension of ERP system offerings is preferred

Professional accounting and controllership or public accounting and internal controls experience and/or Internal Audit or Controls and Compliance

Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant field

CPA and/or CMA preferred

Ability to manage, lead change and build process improvements

Foundational knowledge in Month-end Close Activities

Demonstrated knowledge of general ledger

Journal entries experience

Earlier work involving construction

Adeptness in bank reconciliations

Deep understanding of Internal Financial Reporting

Project accounting experience highly preferred

Solid understanding of financial statement preparation

General familiarity with Credit Card Reconciliation

Knowledge of WIP - Work In Progress

Practical knowledge of account reconciliation

Background working with QuickBooks
