We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our team. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various marine vessels. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical knowledge and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine vessels, including engines, electrical systems, and other mechanical components
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with marine engines and systems
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems or areas for improvement
- Install and repair electrical systems, including wiring and navigation equipment
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate installation and alignment of components
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Marine Technician or similar role is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of marine systems
- Familiarity with schematics and technical manuals
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Skills:
- Sales skills to provide recommendations on parts or upgrades to customers as plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
- Knowledge of electrical systems in marine vessels
- Experience working with sheet metal is a plus
