DescriptionSAIC seeks an experienced and energetic Software Engineer to directly support the modernization of the space launch ranges, meeting mission requirements, providing range capabilities, and supporting the Assured Access to Space (AATS) mission. The overarching purpose of the DTAMM is to perform system modernization and digital transformation projects that will enable the acceleration of the space launch cadence to enable the Spaceport of the future. In support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer, the Software Engineer is responsible for responsive and coherent planning, development, and delivery of software solutions for the space launch ranges. This position is in Cape Canaveral, FL.Job Responsibilities:· Responsible for code development and code deployment for the software version releases which modifies the software baseline of the space launch ranges· Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software.· Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting.· Ability to support system integration, test, development, and execution of various types of complex systems.· Develops technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.· Participate in troubleshooting systems to resolve complex issues, interact, and coordinate with engineers responsible for sustaining operational and test systems.QualificationsRequired Education:

Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

Desired Education:

Bachelor’s degree in an Information Security / Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT/Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline

Required Experience:

Nine (9) years of experience working on DoD, Space systems/AF, and/or joint and interagency cyberspace programs spanning architecture requirements generation, development, integration, operations, and sustainment.

Strong understanding of cloud native concepts

Experience developing cloud native services

Experience developing software with C/C, Java, Python

Experience in Agile development methodologies

Desired Experience:· Experience in large Government systems acquisition· Thorough understanding of space systems design, integration and test requirements and test execution, including test equipment support.· Experience with establishing best practices for cloud native application development.· Familiarity with design and implementation of cloud native microservices using industry best practices and design patterns.· Ability to identify and implement opportunities for improvement in application design and development.· Good understanding of DevSecOps concepts, Docker and/or Kubernetes· Experience leading agile software development teams.· Experience as a Scrum MasterRequired Clearance:

Must be US citizen with an active secret clearance or ability to obtain.
