Job Title: Distribution Field TechnicianJob DescriptionActalent is seeking a Distribution Field Technician to join the Distribution Group in Maitland, Orlando, FL. This role supports 3rd party attachment (Telecom Joint Use) for Duke Energy, and other entities. The technician will collect data points on existing power poles, identify equipment such as transformers, breakers, switches, telecom, and power lines, take measurements, and mark the heights of lines. This position supports the Distribution Design Team for Florida.Skills

Data Collection on power poles

Prior Field Utility experience a plus but not necessary

Must be comfortable working outdoors

Work site

Will be meeting at the Maitland office in the morning then go out into the field in a company truck with a partner.

Travel up to 2 hours daily (gas card and company truck provided)

Schedule: 4-10s, 6-7AM-4-5 PM

Work EnvironmentThe Orlando office is comprised of about 18 people. The technician will primarily work in the field about 90% of the time, with 10% spent in the office for administrative tasks and data entry. A company vehicle and gas card are provided for fieldwork.
