As an entry-level engineer you should have a solid foundation in network principals, a valid CCNA certification, and two years of experience as a network engineer.The Network Engineer will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support of the company's network devices. The primary responsibilities will be maintaining Solarwinds system, responding to alerts, and first to respond to working tickets escalated from the Help Desk.Frequent after-hours and weekend work is required.Key Responsibilities Include:- Respond to tickets escalated from the Help Desk.
- Participate in a 24x7 shared on-call schedule.
- Managing and monitoring Solarwinds.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting technologies including SNMP, ICMP, NetFlow.
- Proficient with Visio.
- Firmware / IOS upgrades to network devices.
- Knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, wireless and security technologies.
- LAN routing and switching knowledge, including Ethernet, VLAN tagging, STP, access/trunking.
- Experience in hardware provisioning, installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Some domestic and international travel is required.
- Minimum 2+ years' experience supporting Cisco networks.
- Must have current "hands on" experience with Solarwinds.
- Experience supporting Cisco ISE / Trustsec a plus.
- Experience with Cisco wireless technologies a plus.
- Associates degree preferred.
- Valid Cisco CCNA is required.
