Description Candidates with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical users in an understandable and concise manner while solving complex technical issues will be preferred for the PC Technician opening at Robert Half. This role may be for you if you are a self-starter and a problem solver who enjoys working in a positive, dynamic environment. As the PC Technician, you will work in the Boynton Beach, Florida, region. This role is a short-term contract / temporary opportunity.How you will make an impact
Record daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions or installation activities
Own and execute technology implementation projects
Take down, box and ship out of date equipment
Take down, box, move and set up/install on site
Arrange for repairs through the appropriate vendors
Manage equipment inventory, collaborating on purchases as needed
Manage imaging and preparation for new computers
Comply with company quality standards to ensure sound electronic data records
Assist with functionality testing and end user support
Communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
Install printers, and troubleshoot and repair issues
Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish a variety of computer hardware, including PCs, laptops, monitors, servers and other IT equipment
Handle data transfers from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware along with break/fix Requirements
A CompTIA A+ certification is a requisite for the position
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Experience with Hardware Upgrades
Demonstrated knowledge of Troubleshoot Hardware
Hardware Issues experience
Deep understanding of Hardware Installation
Solid understanding of Phone System
Adeptness in Hardware Troubleshooting
Telephone support experience preferred
1 - 3 years of experience with PC and Mac hardware and software, and an understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN
Strong problem-solving skills
Familiar with network design and implementation strategies
Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds
Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
