Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a Collections Specialist in the healthcare industry, specifically within the NHS. This position is located in Boca Raton, Florida, 33487, United States. The role involves a particular focus on managing a high volume of customer accounts, applying medical collections expertise, and the execution of customer service skills. The role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Manage a high volume of customer accounts, focusing on the highest balances and those most overdue Communicate effectively with the responsible party to secure payment Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to better understand and manage accounts Leverage proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel to maintain organized and efficient workflows Work collaboratively in a team of four, with accounts distributed among team members Learn and utilize pharmacy Software QS1 and outside vendor payments software, Etactics, to navigate payments Apply customer service skills to manage and resolve customer inquiries Perform Billing Functions and Collection Processes as required Act as a Collector when necessary, ensuring the company's credit policies are adhered to. Requirements Proficiency in accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel Knowledge of billing functions and collection processes Previous experience as a Collector would be advantageous Understanding of credit systems Excellent customer service skills Ability to work in the healthcare/NHS industry Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
