Hereafter, these programs will be referenced, in total, as Children’s Medical Services (CMS). The support includes administration of computer systems, user training and support of computer and network hardware, information security, software, and access to the Department of Health (DOH) intranet and Internet. Information Security: Responsible for implementing IT solutions adhering to information security policy. Maintains building security codes, access control lists, and reports for all internal and external employees and vendors. Manages file backup solutions, in a secure manner. Executes information security assessments in coordination with the regional lead, and implements solutions to areas found deficient. Responsible for managing Active Directory containers including user setup and implementing Logical Access Control changes. User Support: Serves as a primary helpdesk support analyst for multiple locations. Answers helpdesk calls, determines nature of the issue, and enters work order or trouble ticket into the Information Technology (IT) Helpdesk system. Assists users with basic software application support with all applications. Assists users as an organizational unit (OU) manager with routine network access problems including account lockouts and password changes. Communicates on a regular basis with users, notifying them of any IT issues and instructs users in necessary action to be taken. Network and Telecommunications Support: Coordinates and schedules maintenance, operation, enhancement, and support of local area network, wide area network, and telecommunications systems. Assists the Regional System Administrator in the development and coordination of a distributed infrastructure that adheres to information security policy for the CMS office(s) supported. Submits communications service requests (CSRs) and coordinates changes with vendors. Maintains voice over internet protocol (VoIP) telephone system(s), which includes providing support to VoIP users. Hardware Support: Responsible for all desktop and server support to include setting up, installing, upgrading, patching, security and troubleshooting PC hardware and software within established standards and guidelines, while supporting users’ request. Configures scanner-copier-printers to function in line with information security policy. Telemedicine Support: Responsible for providing tier 1 telemedicine support and services to the CMS offices in the region. Training and Continuing Education: Responsible for staying abreast of the current information security and information technology (IT) skill sets. Other Support Functions: Responsible for providing tier 1 support of forensic interview recording software and child abuse digital image management systems. Conducts on-going support to identify methods/techniques for improving the use of existing hardware, software, information security and to improve written documentation. Serves as liaison with vendors in solving routine problems with the communication components. Serves as project lead for various IT related projects and facilitate completing them in a timely manner or within a predetermined timeframe set by the Regional System Administrator. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Travel is required for this position to resolve issues onsite and meet with vendors from time to time, as well as for periodic training and regional IT needs to be determined.

Operational knowledge of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, desktop imaging and deployment methodologies, virus and security software, Healthcare Insurance Portability, and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and information security, file backup and restore solutions, and software and application support.

Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position:

Operational knowledge of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), Microsoft desktop and server operating systems,desktop imaging and deployment methodologies, virus and security software, Healthcare Insurance Portability, and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and information security, file backup and restore solutions, and software and application support

Qualifications:
