Job Description:
FedEx is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic driver to join our dynamic team. As a FedEx driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and safe delivery of packages to our customers, while providing exceptional service with a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Package Delivery: Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial locations within the assigned area.
- Customer Interaction: Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive delivery experience.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of the delivery vehicle, maintaining cleanliness and reporting any issues promptly.
- Route Management: Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, making adjustments as necessary.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and FedEx safety regulations, ensuring the safety of yourself, your vehicle, and the public.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all required delivery and pickup paperwork, using handheld devices as necessary.
- Problem Resolution: Handle delivery issues, customer complaints, and other challenges with a proactive and problem-solving approach.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with dispatchers, fellow drivers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience: Previous experience in delivery driving is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Customer Service Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
- Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing delivery schedules and route modifications.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using handheld devices and navigation tools.
