Whizz is preparing to launch its first location in Washington, D.C., and we are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Bike Mechanic to oversee operations and customer interactions at our new store. This role combines technical expertise with customer service responsibilities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and delivering an exceptional experience to our clients.
As the Lead Bike Mechanic, you will manage the store, perform maintenance and repairs on e-bikes, and assist customers in choosing the right solutions to meet their needs. Key Responsibilities:
Mechanic Duties:
Perform regular maintenance and repair of e-bikes, including diagnostics and testing for optimal performance.
Assemble, inspect, and prepare e-bikes for customer delivery.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with e-bikes.
Maintain an organized and safe workshop environment, ensuring tools and parts are readily available.
Conduct quality control checks to ensure all bikes meet company standards.
Customer Service Duties:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing inquiries about e-bikes and services.
Provide guidance and troubleshooting support to customers, both in person and over the phone or email.
Manage bookings, repairs, and service updates in the company’s system.
Educate customers on e-bike usage, maintenance, and safety protocols.
Process payments and handle basic administrative tasks.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a e-bike mechanic (experience in customer service is a plus).
Strong technical skills in diagnosing and repairing e-bikes or similar equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer experiences.
Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with customer service tools and systems (training will be provided).
