Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Safely and efficiently delivering up to 40 deliveries per shift to customer's homes or places of business in a timely manner.
Confirms all packaged orders against the packing slips and loads the truck prior to delivery in route order.
Navigate a variety of routes throughout Washington DC while adhering to a time schedule and other states as deemed necessary.
Unloads the packaged orders at final destination and if needed, unpacks orders at customer's request.
Verified order recipient is at least 21 years of age by checking ID and records delivery details by using the OptimoRoute app.
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. Multiple times/day
Picks up store supplies (paper goods, catering supplies, office supplies, etc.) as directed.
Ensures customer messages/communications are relayed to the Management team.
Operates company vehicles in a professional, safe and courteous manner, upholding strict compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Maintain a clean and sanitized vehicle at all times
Performs daily maintenance checks on delivery vehicles and reports malfunctions to Management and responsible for making and taking delivery vehicles for scheduled maintenance.
Performs other duties as assigned to include but not limited to: stocks store inventory, cleans store, assists customers, etc.
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s License & Safe Driving Record
A reliable smart-phone for GPS navigation and contacting customers
Ability and willingness to drive long distances
A Customer Service mindset - You are the last point of contact for our customers!
Reliability - You are on time and ready to work!
Physical stamina to handle the demands of lifting and carrying wine cases and packages
Attention to detail and accuracy in order verification and delivery processes
Must be at least 21 years of age
Availability: Monday through Saturday 10am start/ 4-8pm finish (approximate-depends on route/order volume)
