The Delivery Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and professional delivery of food and equipment to company clients. This position requires strong time management, customer service skills, and attention to detail to uphold company standards. The driver is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational readiness of the delivery vehicle while providing excellent service at each client site.
Primary Responsibilities:
Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport food and catering equipment.
Load and secure food, beverages, and equipment into delivery vehicles to prevent damage during transit.
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely drop-offs and pickups.
Set up food and beverages at client sites according to event requirements, ensuring proper presentation.
Confirm client satisfaction with the delivery setup before leaving the site and address any immediate concerns.
Provide excellent customer service, acting as a professional representative of the company.
Report any delays, accidents, or issues to the immediate supervisor promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the company fleet, ensuring vehicles are refueled, organized, and in proper working condition.
Comply with safety and food handling regulations to maintain quality control during deliveries.
Work closely with the Delivery Manager to ensure all logistics and transportation needs are met.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support delivery and catering operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical tasks such as loading and unloading catering supplies.
Strong time management and organizational skills to meet delivery schedules.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and efficiency.
Basic customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and event staff.
Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or catering is a plus but not required.
