We're looking for a reliable and experienced electrician to join our team.
In summary, we are seeking electricians with extensive knowledge and experience in local school and county small renovation projects in the northern Virginia region. Electricians should be independent or require minimal supervision while also being able to collaborate with others when needed.
A journeyman's license is preferred, but not required. Extensive knowledge of the NEC code and a strong safety awareness are essential.
The ability to work both normal business hours and after hours is required when needed. We offer wage scale pay and fringe benefits depending on the project's requirements.
Authorization to work in the US is mandatory. Non-Virginia residents are welcome as long as they can reliably commute to work.
About the Job:
- Perform a variety of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks in commercial or government settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Ensure adherence to all electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and diagnose the cause of malfunctions.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and wiring.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Electrician License preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial or government electrical work
- Strong working knowledge of electrical codes (NFPA 70E).
- Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Authorized to work in the US.
