Brake Squad is a mobile brake repair service company serving northern Virginia. We provide a convenient service at our customer's home or workplace and ensure our customers are completely satisfied.
The Brake Squad values are honesty, expertise, friendliness, professionalism, respectfulness, and dependability. We are looking for a full-time employee with the same values to join our team as a Mobile Brake Repair Specialist working remotely. Our unique compensation plan will allow you to earn $50,000 or higher per year with a guaranteed minimum commission draw per pay period.
You must have 4 years’ experience repairing brakes on various makes and models and be comfortable interacting with customers. You DO NOT need to provide your own tools or vehicle.
Brake service appointments are scheduled between the hours of 9a - 6p Monday - Friday and 9a - 2p Saturday. We are closed on Sunday. We service Northern Virginia ONLY. You will be working outdoors at the customers location.
Responsibilities
Driving, maintaining, and restocking a company work van
Diagnose and perform brake repair services on vehicles at residential or commercial locations in all weather conditions - within reason
Knowledgeably answer customer questions about brake repair, parts, symptoms, conditions, and anything else related to our service
Pick-up new parts and return unused parts at our distributors' warehouses
Manage paperwork for each job and return receipts/reports to our office
Communicate effectively with our office staff and customers regarding issues that arise
Professionally represent The Brake Squad and its values at all times
Qualifications
ASE Certified A5 or ability to pass the certification test within 60 days
Must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and a desire to succeed
Must have great customer service and communication skills, sales skill is a plus
Technical school certificate plus 2 years’ experience changing brakes on various makes and models OR 4 years working as a mechanic
Knowledgeable in the safe use of mechanics hand-tools, floor jacks, power tools, and solvents (lubricants, cleaners, grease, etc.)
Ability to manage work and schedule with minimal supervision
Be able to squat and kneel while performing brake repair
Able to lift at least 75 pounds
Must be fluent in English
Be a non-smoker, drug-free and pass drug tests conducted randomly
Submit to a credit and criminal background check
Have a current driver's license and a clean driving record
Have reliable and flexible transportation to and from our van pick-up location
Bonus Skills: Experience in any of the following areas: automotive parts store, field technician/service/installer.
Candidates must pass written and practical exams as well as successfully complete a 30 day on the job training and probation period to be hired permanently.
