Quadrille, a chic, high-end fabric and wallpaper company, is looking for an energetic, personable, and motivated full-time showroom Sales Associate in its DC showroom in the Washington Design Center.
All sales are to the trade, so a candidate must have at least two to three years of showroom experience working with interior designers. Relevant high-end, detail-oriented sales experience will be considered.
Each showroom must be committed to providing the best service possible and making sure that designers continue to choose Quadrille brands for their projects based on the quality of our products and the attention they receive from you, as their point of contact.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Calling designers to update them about our newest fabrics. Must be willing to make outbound phone calls in addition to emails.
Sending out packets of samples and mailers each week
Placing orders in our system
Pulling memo requests for designers and requesting them online
Following up on open orders, including strike off approvals, pro forma deposits
Merchandising – (must be able to lift up to 20lbs and climb small stepladder)
Maintenance – restock memos/put away returns, tidy showroom, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Industry experience in the sale of fabrics and wallpapers to interior designers is helpful, but relevant sales experience is required;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Detail oriented – accuracy in typing / spelling is critical;
- Familiarity with Comet, a software used in fabric and wallpaper showrooms (not required but is a plus); quick learner on computer point-of-sale systems - we will train on the one we use;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required. Photo-editing skills are a huge plus.
The showroom sales position requires a self-starter who is able to meet deadlines (many projects are time-sensitive), and who can work independently as well as part of a team. You will be reporting directly to the Company’s General Manager, who is based in New Jersey. Salary commensurate with experience.
