The Freight Forwarding Sales Executive will lead the charge to develop new commercial business in the U.S. You’ll be responsible for identifying new clients and selling our logistics solutions. A hunter mentality is a must in this role. You’ll work collaboratively with our operations team to implement services and solutions for your clients and support our growth goals.
Build the market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing new business; arrange daily business development meetings with prospective clients
Become a subject matter expert on our services offered, and remain up to date on industry-related news
Meet weekly with operations management and develop close and cooperative working relationships with operations staff to ensure customer needs and company objectives are being met
Develop a growth strategy and set quotas focused both on financial gain and profitability to meet ambitious revenue targets
Follow up with new clients and operations to ensure a seamless implementation when onboarding new clients
Perform market research to continually identify new pipeline opportunities, presenting and demonstrating the value of products and services to prospective buyers
What You Bring:
5+ years of proven sales success in freight brokerage, logistics, freight forwarding, specialized freight, and ground transportation.
Results-driven mindset with a track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
Highly organized and proactive, capable of managing multiple client interactions efficiently
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop solutions for complex supply chain challenges
Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Bachelor’s degree required
Daily local travel to visit clients.
1 or 2 meetings yearly with overnight travel.
