Job Overview
Our used car dealership is seeking a Car Salesperson who is able to learn quickly and start generating results in a fast-paced sales environment immediately. We sell a variety of used cars, anything from high end to affordable vehicles, and the ideal candidate for this position will be an expert on all of the models that we sell. We also require that you will deliver high quality customer service and become a consultant to each customer on finding the vehicle that aligns perfectly with their needs. Responsibilities
- Develop an in-depth understanding of our current car inventory and use that knowledge to encourage customers to make a purchase
- Perform walk-around with new and old customer and demonstrate features of suitable vehicles
- Develop buyers by keeping good rapport with previous and new customers; also, by suggesting trade-ins; respond to inquiries
- Work with our marketing team to grow our customer base
- Assist in setting up the sales lot or the showroom floor for promotions and to put new models on display
- Work with the Finance Manager to develop sales agreements that benefit the company as well as the customer
- Collaborate with our Sales Manager to offer attractive deals on used vehicles to interested customers
- Close sales by overcoming objection(s); complete sales or purchase contracts; explain provisions; offer services, warranties and financing; collect payment and deliver automobile
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required
- Must be excellent at communicating information to visitors and inquirers
- Previous car sales experience is a plus
- Excellent customer service and negotiation skills
- Strong computer skills required
- Possess understanding and knowledge of equity and values, automobile depreciation, and local, state and federal laws that guide automobiles
- Must be aggressive in selling; and possess a positive attitude.
