ABOUT THE COMPANY:
For the past 20 years Comm Link Inc. has been specializing in design, integration, installation, and support of CAT5 CAT6 low voltage cabling, audiovisual, video, audio, network & video conferencing systems used for Corporate, Government & Educational Institutions.
POSITION: Several positions available: Jr. / Mid / Team Lead Sr. Level Field Technician working with AV, LowVoltage Cabling, Networking, CCTV, to perform Installations & Service of systems with our Corporate & Government clients.
This is NOT your typical 9 to 5 job, you will be dispatched from your home. You will not be required to come to the office every day. We are NOT looking for phone support technicians. We may be open to 1099 subcontractors. We are looking for reliable technicians regardless of employment status with our company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Installation of all types of Audio Video Equipment: LCD TV's, sound systems, Zoom & Microsoft Teams Systems, projection screens, Video Conferencing VTC, WiFi AP / Office Network cabling, and more. The majority of the work is performed at client locations around the DMV area.
- Travel in the local DMV area as well as 10-20% regional area is a MUST!
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
MUST be able to pass background screening
Valid driver's license with a good driving record, auto insurance, and MUST have a vehicle (Company may provide a VAN for qualified candidates)
Good knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Hands on mechanical aptitude (wall / ceiling mounting of TV's, Projectors, Speakers), CAT5/6 crimping
Understanding of low voltage systems for audio, video, control, and WiFi Access Points
Good communication skills and customer service attitude
Enjoy working in a variety of locations on projects with newest technology
Neat and professional appearance
Ability to lift heavy equipment (50+lbs), as needed
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
Excellent attention to detail
Good attitude and ability to be a team player
High school diploma
AA or BA College Degree is preferred
Preferred for tech to have hand/power and standard AV / cabling tools (negotiable)
MUST have a computer
Preferred experience with: Polycom, Zoom, WebEx, MTR, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, ClearOne, Projectors, Microphones, Speakers, Audio Mixers

Level 1 - $20-28 /hr Entry Jr. Level Position 1yr of Experience
Level 2 - $28-35 /hr Mid Level position with 2-4 years of related Experience
Level 3 - $35-45 /hr Sr. Technician / Field Engineer with 3+ years of AV Experience
Level 4 - $45-55 /hr Lead Engineer / Field Engineer with 7+ years of AV Experience
